About Shri Laxminarayan Temple (Birla Mandir)
Built by industrialist Baldeo Das Birla between 1933 and 1939, Birla Mandir is one of Delhi's major tourist and spiritual landmarks.
Mahatma Gandhi inaugurated the temple on the strict condition that it would be open to people of all castes and religions.
