About Shri Kedarnath Temple
Kedarnath Temple, situated near the head of the Mandakini river against the snowy peaks of Kedarnath mountain, is the most remote of the 12 Jyotirlingas.
Built of large heavy stone slabs on a raised platform, legend attributes its origin to the Pandavas. Pilgrims trek 16 km from Gaurikund or fly via helicopter.
