About Belur Math
Situated on the west bank of the Hooghly river, Belur Math was designed by Swami Vivekananda to fuse Hindu, Christian, and Islamic architectural motifs into a single monument of universal brotherhood.
The pristine grounds house the main temple, Swami Vivekananda's room, Holy Mother Sarada Devi's temple, and peaceful manicured lawns.
