About Thanthania Kalibari
Established in 1803 by Shankar Ghosh, Thanthania Kalibari is one of Kolkata's most beloved heritage Kali shrines.
The clay deity of Goddess Siddheshwari is traditionally re-sculpted and painted afresh every year before Kali Puja. Tuesdays and Saturdays see heavy footfall.
