About Mahalaxmi Temple Mumbai
Built in 1785 by Dhakji Prabhu, Mahalaxmi Temple was constructed after the idols were miraculously recovered from the sea during the building of the Hornby Vellard sea wall.
The sanctum houses three idols of Goddess Mahalaxmi, Mahakali, and Mahasaraswati decorated with gold bangles and pearl necklaces.
